There is so much to see on Anglesey!
Here are a few of our favourites but there's still so much to explore so let us know what you find and love too.
Trearddur Bay

Right on the doorstep is beautiful, sandy Trearddur Bay beach. Just a 10 min walk from the apartment. Plus many rocky coves to explore in either direction.
🏖️ Go crabbing on the rocks, paddleboarding (hire from Blu Chameleon), or just relax on the sand with a Mr Whippy.
🅿️ Free 1 hour parking by Ocean's Edge, looking at the sea and limited free parking on the road by the Spar. Pay and display behind Ocean's Edge and Sea Shanty.
🍽️ We recommend trying Sea Shanty, Ocean's Edge, The Stores & Scarlett's Fish & Chips.
🐶 Dogs welcome on different areas of the beach. Check signs as this changes seasonally.

Where the forest meets the sea! My favourite place!
🏖️ Walk the beach to the lighthouse (be careful of the tides!), trek amongst the forest and sand dunes or just enjoy the spectacular views.
🅿️ Paid parking. Can get busy in summer. The postcode for Beach car park is LL61 6SG. Please note that this postcode covers a wide area and will not take you directly to the entrance - look out for signs.

🏖️ Mooch around the shops, artisan market on a Sunday (seasonal), explore the castle, castle park and views of the Menai Strait.

🏖️ Just down the road from the flat this beach area is very popular! You can't miss the RAF planes plus the huge beach, which is perfect for windsurfing. Not one I have tried...

🍽️ Quite a few options in Rhos - try Oyster Catcher & Aydin's Pizza.

🏖️ Fantastic park, mini-lake walk and access to a longer coastal walk.

There are so many beaches to explore but here are some of our favourites!
🏖️ Porth Dafarch (parking LL65 2LS). Sheltered sandy beach. No dogs in summer. Food van recommended - Licence To Grill.
🏖️ Porth Trescastell (parking LL64 5JR). Sheltered sandy beach. Dogs allowed. No food options.
🏖️ Benllech (parking LL74 8QE). Popular sandy beach with clear blue water. Dogs allowed (areas change seasonally). Try The Bay Cafe, The Wendon Cafe and Shop or for fantastic fish & chips - Finney's.
🏖️ Porth Swtan | Church Bay (parking LL65 4ET). Scenic small beach with lots of rockpools and beautiful sunsets. Dogs allowed (areas change seasonally). Try Wavecrest Cafe or enjoy stunning views from The Church Bay Inn.
🏖️ Penrhos Coastal Park (parking LL65 2JE). Lovely beach with optional walks through the woods as well. Dogs allowed. Try Wildflowers Cafe.

A couple of lighthouses to light up your visit!
💡 Southstack Nature Reserve (LL65 1YH). South Stack is a reserve where rolling heathland and farmland meet rugged and rocky sea cliffs. The cliffs are a vital breeding ground for Guillemots, Razorbills and Puffins in spring. The rare Chough can be seen swooping along the cliffs all year round. Dogs allowed. Pay and display parking. Cafe on site.
💡 Penmon Point (LL58 8RR). On the north east coast of Anglesey with views across the mainland, Great Orme and of course Puffin Island. Good chances of seeing dolphins and seals. Dogs allowed. There is a toll to get there (£3 - £5) with free parking once there. Big recommendation for Pilot House Cafe.
